Guess what, guys – I’m back, and with the prettiest printable yet! Yep, that’s right – it’s the gratitude list. Bullet journalists use these and include them in their notebooks, but some of us don’t want to draw it all out (namely me). That’s why I have crafted this beautiful paper print of it, easy for you to download and print out. It is available in three different schemes: blue, pink and colourful. But, before I give the link, let’s find out a few things about gratitude.

1. What is gratitude?
Gratitude is the quality of being thankful. Readiness for showing appreciation and returning kindness. Remembering that others may not have what you have – food, clothing, family etc. Seeing fortune and good things in achievements (others may have wanted it, but didn’t get it).
Yep, that’s all gratitude… And, there’s more!
Gratitude has many names: gratefulness, thankfulness, thanks, appreciation. But there are also many ways of showing it, but we’ll get on to that later. Gratitude is very useful in our lives, and we should all try our very best to be grateful for things. Without gratitude, the world would be very selfish and careless. Families wouldn’t love each other as much!
But, to conclude, gratitude is being appreciative, showing sympathy and putting yourself in other’s shoes.
So try to do these things!
2. How can you show gratitude?
There are many ways to show gratitude to other people, or… even yourself.
Smile. Even if it’s yourself you want to show gratefulness to, smile. Research shows that people feel more comfortable, and feel as if they’ve done something right when you smile when talking to them. The next time you see someone you love, show ’em your pearls. 🙂
Write a letter or note. You heard me – pen at the ready because you’re writing a letter! 😉 Tell someone exactly what you think of them, how much they matter to you, and why you love them. What better way to do it than in a letter?
Say it. Speak out and tell the person you are thankful for them. IT’S SO SIMPLE!
There we go, 3 simple points on how to show your gratitude. Keep them in mind…
2.1. Why should you show it?
Why should you show gratitude? Well, come on!
It’s an act of kindness and it may have benefits, you know! For example, people will like you more. They will think well of you because of how kind you were to them, and maybe even consider giving something back.
However, the best way of showing gratitude is giving without reward. This means giving and not expecting something in return. It shows selflessness and nobility – okay, so you won’t exactly become Mahatma Gandhi or anything – and those are brilliant character traits! 😀
And, guys: who wouldn’t want to be selfless or noble?!
3. Quotes on gratitude
At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. Albert Schweitzer
Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. Henry Ward Beecher
